The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Fighters Table

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a diverse cast of personalities, and a gripping narrative featuring divine entities, evil spirits, and sinister influences growing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Key plot points for the third episode of the new season are included.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of heroes who will branch out from the central cast to begin their separate journey, separate from the remaining groups.

This warrior group includes the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Given a large ensemble, it was clear from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three separate parties: Soldiers, Strategists, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Combat Party

Per the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.

Initially, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the events of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the party knows exactly where to head next after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose death started the narrative’s action—used the foes for his selfish purposes, invading the hidden lair, attacking Thimble, and swiping all the powerful objects to sell off.

The antagonist then paid off his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, above the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each member has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, seeks retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the region and warns that it is a dangerous location.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could assist the party access areas they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now accompany him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are hunted by the authorities that govern the setting for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • The warrior and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This results in them few options but to head to the northern region in pursuit of the traitor.

What’s Next?

From episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the participants to form the Questers and Strategists groups.

Viewers can anticipate finding out which adventurers will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
